About Me

As an athlete in college, I developed a drive and passion for strength training. Today, being a personal trainer I bring that same fire to my clients to achieve success. I enjoy creating new opportunities for a change in your fitness routine and proper nutrition coaching, my commitment for others is to accomplish the reality that they have been seeking. To sum up my coaching style I will push you, I keep it real and get you results!

Anna has played a significant role in improving my general health! Before I started with Anna, I worked out fairly frequently and spent a lot of time doing random exercises - with no discernible results. Anna and I have worked together for six months, and since the beginning, we have worked as a team. We agreed on my goals and on a plan to achieve them, with a clear understanding that success would require hard work on my part over an extended period of time. Anna has developed weekly, progressive exercise programs that move me towards my goals. She explains the purpose of the exercises and makes corrections so I can achieve the best results with everything I do. She knows my abilities and limits and knows when to push just a little harder. Can I do Anna justice with words? She is someone I admire but also care for as a person. It's easy to admire her because she is focused and dedicated to her personal fitness and improving her skills in Olympic Weightlifting technique. I've been fortunate to have had the experience of training along side her in Alpha Strong and been able to see this first hand. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Anna’s program!!! After months of seeing little to no change in my strength and body composition and with a trip to Hawaii in 2 months, I began Anna’s Build Focus program 3 months ago. Within two weeks I began to see noticeable improvements. Anna’s program constantly challenges your body with alternating reps and weights and new exercises. After 8 weeks following the Build Focus program, meal planning for optimal macros, and tracking my food intake on My Fitness app (linked to Anna’s program app), I went from 21.8% body fat to 17.4% body fat! Anna sees capabilities in individuals that they themselves don't think they are capable of achieving. Anna inspires me to push out of my comfort zone and to challenge my limits. I have been a member of Lifetime since 2016. I have been in group training programs since I walked into Lifetime to become a member. It wasn't until I joined Anna's Alpha in September 2018 that I realized some of my forms were incorrect and that the issues I had internally (muscle cramps, gastrointestinal, etc.) could be helped by supplements. She is driven to helping everyone succeed. She is a wealth of knowledge. I learn something new in almost every Alpha class whether it's technique, nutrition, etc. Anna is one of the main reasons I WANT to go to the gym. I had a background in lifting, but Anna helped coach me to correct some mistakes I was making. I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness since 2005 and workout 4+ times a week. I met Anna last year in March as I was preparing for my second Tough Mudder in July. I shared my fitness goals with Anna and she recommended I try Team Bootcamp. She let me attend for the first week free to see how I liked it. I LOVED it! Anna has created a series of unique workouts for her Bootcamp participants. She has three month rotations of Strength , Endurance and Power. Each work out is different within the special month focus . It is this variety and the team coaching and encouragement that Anna provides that keeps me coming back week after week. She pushes us to work out hard and frequently I am completely drained at the end of the 60 minutes - but I feel GREAT and come back for more. I have been a member of Life Time Fitness since 1994 and hadn’t stepped inside the gym in years. We just kept on paying the monthly dues because “one day…”. We moved to Woodbury two years ago and now are exactly one mile from the Woodbury Life Time Fitness so I REALLY no longer have any good excuses. In October I went to the club for a spin class thinking that it would get me back into shape. While there I saw the signs for a free Alpha (weightlifting) class so on a whim I signed up and boy am I glad I did! I met Anna Taylor, one of the instructors of the class and had a great time getting my butt kicked by her. That is not true, “I” was kicking my own butt, but with her assistance. After the class, Anna said I could attend another one for free if I liked so I could get a feel for how the class normally ran, not just how it worked during the open house. I went back for more butt kicking and while it was good and I could tell it would help, the class wasn’t right for me. I think Anna sensed this as well so she recommended that I try her Bootcamp class. I showed up the next day and have never looked back. I have been trying to lose “5-10 pounds” for 20 years and nothing else ever worked for me. I am coming up on my six month anniversary of working with Anna and I am very proud to say that I have lost 18 pounds and 10% of my body fat. And once I start listening to her again, I will FINALLY lose those last 5 pounds. I have surpassed my goals and I am in the best shape of my life. While I was doing most of the work, the REAL reason I kept coming back is Anna Taylor! She is the perfect mixture of Drill Sargent, Instructor, Fitness Expert, Nutritionist and really, friend. Anna didn’t PUSH me, she SHOWED me how to do the exercises, she explained WHY we were doing them and how they would help us. Anna knows everything from working with workout bands to Olympic Weightlifting. She also has a BS in Kinesiology Exercise Science and is a nutritionist (I did some research on her). Anna has showed me not only how to workout correctly, but how to EAT correctly. I was always eating the wrong foods, those that provided lots of calories but were not very good for me. After reviewing what I ate, and how much, she actually told me I had to eat MORE to lose weight. It sounded crazy to me, but she is the expert. She said “follow my advice EXACTLY for three weeks and the pounds will fall off”. For 2 ½ weeks not much changed and then almost exactly at three weeks the weight just dropped. And the best part was that this was during the holiday season, the hardest time of the year to lose weight. Anna has provided the constant support and encouragement to keep going, even when my weight would start to go back up again. Anna has helped me achieve my goals and has changed my life for the better. She knew exactly what was needed for me to achieve these goals and was right there with me every step of the way and I am eternally grateful to her for the support and guidance she has provided.
