About Me

My healthy active lifestyle jumpstarted when accepted to join the U of M Spirit Squad in 2021. My body was deconditioned from 2 years of an imbalanced college lifestyle. Squad members are required to apply weight resistance training and cardio conditioning to their personal programming. Graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors in Child Psychology. An active lifestyle became my life keystone. Became a mom in 2005 and stepped away from a full time job. This stage of life lead me to obtaining a Group Fitness Cert in 2007 and a Personal Training Certification in 2011. Fitness is a foothold in my life. My family and I have relocated several times over the past 16 years. Relocating to serval Fitness Clubs across the Nation in Utah, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Minnesota have opened up opportunities to get certified as an Advanced Group Performer and receive education that diversify my training skills in Personal, Small/large Group, and HIIT programs.

I've been in several of Karlene's Barre Strength classes and she is amazing! She leads a tough class and provides the motivation the group needs to survive and thrive in every session. Her instruction is clear - she's an excellent teacher so I am never left wondering what we are doing or WHY we are doing it.
