These Magic Moments
With a wide variety of programming, it’s easy to plan the perfect summer for your kid — exclusively for Life Time junior members. Ages may vary by club.
Junior Camp
For ages 4-5, kids will enjoy exciting activities each day while learning and growing through movement, hands-on creativity, building confidence and positive interactions, connecting with their community, and developing new skills.
Summer Camp
For ages 6–13, summer campers will dive into exciting activities daily while staying active, creating, connecting with peers, and building confidence through new challenges.
Typical Camp Day
The exact schedule and activities vary by club, but here’s a sample of what you can expect.
7–9 a.m. (exact time may vary by club): Optional before care – includes activities to choose from, no additional cost.
9–9:30 a.m.: Check in, morning meet-up, and ice breaker.
9:30–10 a.m.: Warm-ups and warrior challenge – Counselors and campers will challenge one another while also developing teamwork, problem-solving skills and having fun.
10–11:30 a.m.: Swim time (may vary by club) – Campers will participate in summer camp swim lessons or summer camp swim team. Lessons are organized for all ages and abilities to help swimmers gain confidence and sharpen skills. Swim team is for the more advanced swimmer, challenging them to swim the length of the pool and participate in swim meets (depending on club location). Campers will also have free swim time to play games and have fun with friends.
11:30 a.m.–12 p.m.: Lunch – Campers can either bring a lunch from home or purchase lunch through our LifeCafe. LifeCafe lunches vary in cost depending on selection and location.
12–1 p.m.: Club activity stations – Campers explore areas of interest in our Club Read, Club Play, Club Move, Club Create, and Club Build stations.
1–3 p.m.: Electives (may vary by club) – Each week you and your child can customize their camp experience by choosing two activities. Find out more below.
3–4 p.m.: Community connection – Build friendships and learn leadership skills with counselors and campmates.
4–6 p.m.: Check out and after care – After care is optional and available at no additional cost.
Friday Field Trips
Fridays are for extra fun. If your child is a registered for summer camp on a Friday, they will be participating in a field trip day. Field trip days may include an offsite destination, such as a museum, movie theater, or zoo, or something we bring in to do onsite, such as a petting zoo, or carnival games. Campers are transported to off-site field trips by licensed transportation. Field trip destinations can be found within the camp registration page for each individual week. Field trips are included in your camp fee.
Electives
Monday through Thursday, school-age kids and tweens get Kids Choice Time, where they can pick their own adventure. Campers can choose their option day-of, or during camp the week prior. Camp Electives may include arts and crafts, sports, movement classes (like yoga, gymnastics, or fitness and agility), and more. Offerings vary by location based on the programming and amenities available.
Dance
Get your dancing shoes on because this dance elective is going to have your camper moving all over the place. Campers will learn the basic fundamentals, work on their technique, and keep up the energy with different cardio dance routines. Instructors encourage self-expression, creativity, discipline and play through dance styles. It will be a dancing good time!
Tumbling
In this tumbling class, campers will learn to tumble and gain balance you never knew they had. They’ll focus on building coordination, flexibility and strength through instructor led skills, safety, spotting and drills.
Cheer
Teamwork is the main focus of Cheer. We'll teach them jumps and movements, then give them the tools to build their own team cheers. While they achieve individual goals, they'll also connect with the team.
Arts & Crafts
Giving your campers mind a workout is just as important as exercise. We give him or her the tools to fuel creativity through art projects and help unlock imaginations.
Engineering
These engineering activities are so fun that campers won’t even realize they are learning. As we work to inspire the next generation of engineers, campers will have an opportunity to design, test and refine their own creations all while working together and developing their team building skills.
Offline Coding
Kids will be introduced to the world of coding by learning basic programming and problem solving strategies. This hands-on class allows children to work as teams to design, build, and program.
Kids Studio
Our kids studio classes are created from our adult studio class formats. Our fitness classes have moves for every child that is eager to pose, dance, shred, balance, jump and more. Classes may include: SOL Yoga, Warrior Sculpt, Shred, Ringside and LifeBarre.
Yoga
Kids absolutely love this energetic mashup of games, music and storytelling. They'll increase balance, strength and concentration while learning poses for future yoga classes.
Fitness & Agility
Young athletes will work with our coaches to build the basics of movement while learning to control their bodies. We focus on speed, agility and coordination. This class is geared towards all kids whether or not they participate in organized sports.
Sports Sampler
Explore the basics of all sorts of sports. From basketball to football and track. If you can play it we will explore it!
Rock Climbing
Under the guidance of a highly trained instructor, kids will learn the basic fundamentals and skills around rock climbing. Kids must be at least 5 years of age to participate.
Tennis
Get ready for some on court fun! Our tennis classes make it easier for kids to learn the game with modified, easier-to-hit balls and smaller racquets and courts. Focusing on fun and athleticism first, kids will work on tennis skills while at the same time developing sportsmanship, discipline, and confidence.
Pickleball
Learn to play one of the fastest growing sports in America! Pickleball is like tennis on a smaller court. Any child can learn to enjoy this family friendly activity.
Squash
Squash is a fast, fun, and easy to learn racquet sport that develops fitness, agility, and hand-eye coordination.
