Indoor Pickleball in NYC


Life Time operates the most dedicated indoor pickleball courts in Manhattan, two at Sky and seven at PENN 1. A Premier Membership is required for access.

What is the Premier Membership?

Premier Membership includes access to all Life Time athletic country clubs, all Signature Membership benefits, plus access to 9 total indoor dedicated pickleball courts in Manhattan between Sky and PENN 1. Only those with a Premier Membership will be able to reserve a court or participate in any game play or other pickleball offering. All players participating must have a Premier Membership.

What is the monthly pricing for Premier Membership?  

  • First Person or Single Membership: $379 per month
  • Two Person Membership: $569 per month
  • Three Person Membership: $699 per month
  • Four Person Membership: $799 per month

How do I upgrade to Premier Membership?

Due to high demand and limited availability, our Premier Membership is only available via waitlist here for PENN 1 and here for Sky.  

Pickleball Programming Overview Open Play

  • Open Play is included with a Premier Membership
  • Open Play is segmented by player DUPR rating; all players need a DUPR
  • Every Open Play participant must fully know rules and scoring

  • Court and time reservations are for PENN 1 and Sky are facilitated via the Life Time App

Are pickleball paddles and balls provided?

Yes, at Life Time, we have complimentary loaner paddles and pickleballs available, or you’re welcome to bring your own.

For more information

No-Show

  • A fee will be automatically charged for each No Show pickleball reservation.
  • Late arrivals are not charged but may lose their spot to waitlisted players. 2.2.

Waitlist

  • Open play reservations are held for 10 minutes.
  • Waitlisted players must check-in with the Pickleball Attendant before going on to the courts.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations should be made through the Life Time app before the 2-hour cancellation window.

Court Reservations

  • Members can reserve a private court through the Life Time App. Court reservations are $60/hr.

DUPR Optional Open Play

  • Players must have a DUPR rating that meets the requirements of any skill-level open play.
  • Any player without a DUPR rating or "NR" (not rated) can only participate in "All Level Open Plays” or "NR Open Plays” or make a private court reservation.
  • If a member registers for an open play above their DUPR Rating/Reliability score, they will be removed from that open play and all future pickleball reservations are subject to cancellation.
  • Players must have a reliability score that meets the requirements in the Open Play description. Members will be removed from that open play and all future pickleball reservations are subject to cancellation. Players are encouraged to play DUPR Matches to raise their reliability score.

DUPR Mandatory

  • Players must have a valid DUPR rating meeting the requirements of the skill-level open play they wish to join.
  • DUPR Mandatory Sessions require all registered participants to accurately record and submit game scores into the DUPR system.
  • Higher rated players are not allowed to play in an Open Play below their DUPR rating.

DUPR Misuse
Misuse includes and is not limited to:

  • Creating duplicate accounts to alter ratings.
  • Not logging/verifying matches.
  • Falsifying or manipulating match results.

Violators are subject to suspension or termination.

Self-Ratings

  • Self-ratings are not recognized as a standardized or accepted rating at Life Time.
  • Members are encouraged to participate in clinics, training sessions, or DUPR rated matches to change their DUPR verified rating.
  • Failure to comply with this policy may result in restricted access to skill-based programs or cancellation of pickleball reservations.

Lockers for ALL Personal Belongings

  • All bags and larger personal belongings must be stored in lockers
Outside Food
 
  • Outside food is prohibited within the facility. For food and drink and options, please visit our Life Cafe on the 2nd floor. 
Scooters / Bikes
 
  • Scooters, bikes, skateboards are prohibited within the facility.
Lounge Etiquette and Towels
 
  • Members must maintain cleanliness and safety by disposing of used towels in designated bins immediately.

Guest Pass Entry

  • Guests are allowed entry into the club only when using Life Time guest passes and must be signed in through the concierge team.

Private Court Reservation Requirement.

  • Guests are prohibited from participating in open play sessions.
  • Guests may only play on a court reserved by the hosting member. The hosting member must be in attendance.
  • Violations of this policy will result in suspension of guest privileges and potential restrictions on member court access.

Member Conduct

  • All members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner. Members shall not throw paddles, damage property, use foul language, or be disrespectful towards staff or other members. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in further disciplinary action.

  • Members should join the Life Time Pickleball NYC Team Reach group by downloading the app and entering code 10036. Both staff and members post regular updates and announcements on all things Pickleball at Life Time.
