How do I reserve a spot in the Kids Academy, make an infant or kids class reservation for my child?

Reservations are required for infants, but optional for toddlers and kids/tweens. Here’s how to make a reservation in 4 simple steps:

• Open up the Life Time Digital App or visit my.lifetime.life 
• Ensure that you are logged in with your account email and password. If you are using the Life Time Digital App, ensure you are utilizing the latest version of the app.
• In the Life Time Digital App or on your club page at my.lifetime.life, navigate to the reservation type or class you wish your child to attend and click reserve. 
• Select the child or children you wish to reserve a spot for.

What classes can I sign my child up for?

Within Kids Academy, we have Art & Education, Dance, Sports, Fitness & Agility, Games, Climbing, and Yoga. Class offerings vary by location.

Can I make more than one reservation?

You can reserve multiple consecutive classes for your child.

What happens if the class or infant spot I want is full?

You may add your child to the waitlist and will be notified if a spot becomes available. Open spaces that remain 10 minutes prior to the start of classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Can I edit my or cancel my reservation online?

Modifying your reservation:

1. In the Life Time Digital App, you can modify or cancel your reservation up to 2 hours prior to the start of class through your profile in the Life Time Digital App.

Canceling your reservation: 

1. If you no longer plan to attend class, please cancel your reservation at least 2 hours prior to the start of class. If the class is full, your reservation will go to the first person on the waitlist.

How long can children be dropped off in the Kids Academy?

Members can receive up to 2.5 hours of childcare daily for junior members ages 3 months and up while parents enjoy the club, LifeSpa or LifeCafe (child care time allotment may vary by club).

Where do I drop off my child?

All classes and activities begin in Kids Academy. Our Team Members will greet you in the Kids Academy and check in your child. You will also be asked to swipe or scan your own card or device. For kids class reservations, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior the start of class to ensure your spot (if you arrive late, we will place you in a class with available spots). Our staff will transfer your child to and from their classes.

Can I drop my child off at the Kids Academy without a reservation?

Reservations are required for infants (children ages 3–11 months old and not confidently walking). All other children 12 months through 11 years of age are welcome without a reservation, but if you have a specific class in mind for your child, it’s recommended you register to get a spot before the class fills up! If desired, you can register for back-to-back classes.

What happens if I drop off or pick up my child in the middle of a class?

Classes are running every hour, with a play break in between to transition between one class and the next. Kids can be dropped off anytime at Kids Academy, and a team member will escort your child to a class in progress. If you want to pick up your child in the middle of a class, a team member will go to that class and escort your child back to Kids Academy.

Where do I bring my 12- or 13-year-old for Kids classes?

Your 12- or 13-year-old will not be checked into Kids Academy but can instead go straight to their class at start time.

What are the requirements for infants?

Does my child need to be a member to go to Kids Academy? Can my guest bring their child to Kids Academy?

All children checked into Kids Academy must be active junior members. A guest of a member may bring their own child to Kids Academy. Members can also bring other members’ children to Kids Academy.

If an adult other than the child’s parent is bringing a child to the club or any activity in the club, a Parental Agreement must be on file.

Are all ages in one area of the Kids Academy?

Our Kids Academy is divided by age groups to ensure we are delivering age-appropriate activities to the kids in the Academy. Ratios are assigned to each age for safety.

What is the ratio of team members to children?

Ratios of children to team members are as follows:
Infant Care 4:1
Toddler Care 8:1
Kids Care 12:1

What are the team member qualifications/background checks?

All our Kids Academy team members are highly qualified, background checked, and First Aid/CPR certified to provide a fun, enriching and safe environment for children.

How is Life Time helping to ensure that Team Members and children who are in the Kids Academy or Kids Camp are not sick?

• We will follow our Exclusion of Team Member and Sick Child policy. 
• If a Team Member or child has a cough, fever or shortness of breath, we request that they remain at home. 
• If a child in our space is exhibiting signs of illness, they will be removed from other children, and we will contact their parents immediately. 
• If a child does not attend school due to an illness, he/she will not be allowed to check into the Kids Academy or attend classes.

What can my child do when they’ve aged out of Kids Academy? 

They grow up so fast, and Life Time grows with them. Kids ages 12 and up “graduate” from the Academy and are welcome to use the fitness floor and free weight area, or join their parents in our adult classes like DANZE JAM, ROOT yoga, STRIKE and more. Some clubs offer tween (ages 12–13) classes in the Kids Academy.
